We started out this morning stopping at a jade factory. We dropped a chunk of change there. I did get a really pretty necklace for Scarlett and Ava. It is tradition to give it to them when they are 12, so we will have to wait a little while, but I think it will be neat when we do. They are really pretty and special :-)
Next visited the great wall this morning. Andrew made it to the sixth post which was quite an accomplishment. Only about 10 people in our group of over 30 made it.
I made it to the first post. Yes I am a wimp. It was cold and snowing. Of course I forgot my gloves at the hotel.
We had lunch at a restaurant that had a copper factory attached. They create all kinds of vases and ornaments and other assorted items. I was more restraint there, which is a good thing since our suitcases are loaded up and Andrew trying to get everything ready. Tempers are flaring, it has been a looooonnnnnggggg 2 days here in Beijing and we are both really tired.
Tomorrow we have to get up at 5:00am and fly to Xi'an where we will get Scarlett. I hope we have some time to get settled in a bit before we get her b/c I know that Andrew needs some time to organize and feel okay about things.
So everyone keep your fingers crossed that tomorrow goes smoothly.
PS. we also cruised through the Olympic village so I'll try to post a photo of that tomorrow... must sleep now...

Snowing!!!! Oh my gosh! We are hoping to be there in 10 days! Snowing?!!!
I cannot wait to see 'the moment'. It has been a long time coming huh?
Hey you guys, did you guys ride down the tobagan? I can't believe you see Scarlett's face tomorrow, you just must be bursting with happiness. This is your last date night, at least for awhile, get some rest and... have a wonderful and safe journey. And, of course more pics, especially when you get your little bundle of joy!
