New Venture

I starting my own business... kind of. I'm now a certified baby signing time instructor. Many of you know that we watch Signing Time with Scarlett and she adores it. I found out that they have the Signing Time Academy and you can become a certified instructor. They have different levels and right now I am at the first one.

The goal is to teach ASL vocabulary. We're not teaching pure ASL since it has it's own grammar, rules and whatnot... but vocabulary to help little ones communicate before their verbal. We have seen first hand how great it is with Scarlett. Plus wouldn't it be a really nice world if everyone knew a little ASL and kids could communicate on the playground if they run into a Deaf or HOH child. It's great to be able to sign, "Hi, my name is... what to play?" Kids will figure out the rest.
