Beijing Day 2

Hey we got the blog to work. Sweet!! Thank you RQ friends! I'm not seeing how to post pictures yet. But I promise I'll work on it soon.

Today we started out at the Temple of Heaven. It was beautiful and HUGE! Everything in China is on a grand scale.
Then we had lunch at a Peking Duck place. It was good. Then we went to see a giant Buddha. We were in the car and said we were going to the Buddha next... Scarlett said we're going to see the giant bootie... LOL. Funny
It very neat. Carved out of a single piece of white sandlewood, 29 meters high, but a single person. Apprently it wasn't damaged during the cultural revoltion b/c of it's connection to Tibet. I was very glad we went to see it. We skipped the Forbidden City. Just too much with Miss Scarlett, but still had a great day.
She has been talking non-stop about getting her brother, pretty soon. She's very excited to a big sister.
Funny story too... one of the CCAI families here with us were here in 2008 with us to get Scarlett. They are getting their 3rd China baby. It was great to see them in Tokyo at airport and say, HEY I know you!!
Small world. Also on the flight from PDX to Tokyo was a Doctor from Reedsport, who turned out to know Judy and Cathy and had taken care of grandma Daisy. Again, small world.
