Painting the hours away

So what have I been doing with all this time waiting for the baby. Well projects of course. My latest creation is some art to hang in the baby’s room. I saw something in the Pottery Barn Kids catalog and loved it, but the price tag was too steep! So I thought, "I can do that!"
I dragged out my canvas paper and some old acrylic paints and created my own! They turned out pretty cute if I do say so myself. They are an alligator, hippo and giraffe, if you can’t tell. Now I need to find some frames and get them up on the wall.

Ballooning for our anniversary

Yesterday was our 12th anniversary. We got up early and went hot air ballooning. What I am now wondering is why we waited so long. It was so GREAT!! Seriously wonderful and so beautiful. The morning was perfect. We were the first balloon in the air (there were 6 balloons). We cruised down to the Willamette River and coasted along the surface (floating on the water) for about 10-15 minutes waiting for the other balloons to catch up with us. Then we headed towards St. Paul. It was peaceful and very quiet. After we helped deflat the balloon we headed back for a cute little brunch. It was sooo fun! Andy is already talking about when we can go again. I'll try and see if I can post some pictures.
